Highspring is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic finance team. The Director of Financial Reporting will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements, such as GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team in interpreting and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes, and proactively assess their impact on financial reporting.
- Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
