Shamsek Asad

Director

Sham Asad is a leader in Highspring’s Strategy, Technology & Transformation practice and focuses on the Financial Services sector. He partners with clients to navigate complex transformation driven challenges and has been the advisor of choice to some of the largest and fastest growing banks in the country. He has led the stand-up and successful delivery of multiple large-scale programs driven by M&A integration, finance transformation and regulation drive restructuring. With over 20 years of experience spanning Big Four Consulting he specializes in financial and operational performance improvements optimizing strategy, processes and technology. 

Prior to MorganFranklin, Sham was a part of KPMG’s Strategy and Transformation team, advising clients on large-scale strategic transformations. He holds a BBA in Finance & Economics from William & Mary and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University. 

Brian Beaty

Director

Brian is a Director in Highspring’s Strategy, Technology & Transformation practice with experience leading large-scale projects for major financial services organizations. Brian has led and managed 10+ core banking product launch and conversion projects and has specialized expertise in managing the mapping of data from legacy to new systems. Brian has led integration and conversion engagements involving with multiple platforms in the market, including FIS, Fiserv, Finastra, and Infosys. Brian received his MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maryland, and he earned a BS in Political Science and Business Administration from Clemson University. 

John Hozik

Managing Partner

John Hozik is the Managing Partner and Practice Lead for Highspring’s Finance and Accounting Managed Services practice. He drives strategy and oversees the delivery of innovative solutions that transform clients’ business processes across onshore, nearshore, and offshore capabilities. With a deep understanding of financial services, John’s expertise spans operational accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. He is dedicated to helping executive management address complex challenges through tailored, high-impact solutions that optimize operations and enhance business performance. 

Before joining Highspring, John led audits for broker-dealers, private equity firms, and SEC registrants across multiple industries at KPMG, honing his skills in navigating intricate regulatory environments and delivering high-quality results. 

John holds an MBA in accounting from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School and is a licensed certified public accountant in Maryland. Outside of work, he is passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and is actively involved in community volunteer initiatives. 

Amir Shah

Partner

Amir Shah is a partner in the Highspring strategy, technology, and transformation practice. He specializes in acquisition integration, target operating model design, and large-scale transformation delivery in the financial services and technology, media and telecom industries. 

With over 30 years of experience, Shah has led business transformation initiatives for global Fortune 50 and middle-market companies. He has held leadership roles at KPMG, Fujitsu, and JPMorgan, helping organizations achieve their strategic and operational goals. His international experience—spanning the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the U.S.—has shaped his client-centric mindset, fostering seamless collaboration from strategy to execution. 

Shah serves as an Advisory Board Member at Momentum Education, a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to post-secondary education and employment opportunities for students. 

He holds a Master of Science in Control and Information Technology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UK). Outside of work, he enjoys golf, tennis, and traveling the world. 

Niraj Chatwal

Director

Niraj is a data and transformation expert with 25 years of cross-industry experience, specializing in digital transformations, data strategy, and tech-enabled solutions like automation and AI. He excels in global process optimization, regulatory programs, product management, and center-of-excellence initiatives, boosting operational efficiency and process improvement. Niraj brings deep experience in leading complex, large-scale process improvement and regulatory programs.  

Prior to joining Highspring, he worked in the Financial Services Industry at Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Wachovia/First Union, and within consulting at EY and boutique consulting. Niraj is also a Virginia Advocacy Ambassador with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and three kids. 

Kelcy Walsh

Director

Kelcy is a leader in Highspring’s financial services practice, helping clients successfully navigate complex business transformations and deliver key strategic initiatives.  Kelcy’s areas of expertise include large-scale merger and acquisition integration management, global growth initiatives, and new business and product launch.   

Prior to joining Highspring, Kelcy spent more than eight years with General Electric and GE Capital, working across the corporate finance, policy, and global growth organizations.  She is actively engaged in the development of coaching and learning programs for Highspring’s Consulting business and is a member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Executive Committee.  Kelcy holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Political Economy from Georgetown University.    

Drew Shealy

Director

Drew Shealy brings deep experience in financial services, data science and analytics, and strategic business consulting to help businesses design and execute their most complex initiatives. Drew is well rooted in Atlanta, where he earned his Engineering and MBA degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
