Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting
  • 3 – 5 years accounting experience required
  • Experience working with NetSuite is desired
  • Experience with Adaptive, Solution 7 and/or Office Connect is a plus
  • Expert-level knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with automating processes and leveraging AI is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize as needed
  • Good analytical and trouble shooting skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between the range below. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.

$90,000$115,000 USD

The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting cycle for assigned technical accounting areas including but not limited to leases, rent shares, sublease income, fixed assets, computer inventory, goodwill, stock compensation, international accounting, etc.
  • Conduct detailed financial and variation analysis and provide recommendations to optimize cost control
  • Research and apply GAAP to complex, non-routine transactions; draft accounting policies, and prepare technical memos for auditors
  • Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements, quarterly reporting and all external reporting, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Maintain the financial reporting tool, Adaptive and explore opportunities for optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient financial processes and internal controls, driving continuous improvement and mitigating risks
  • Assist the FP&A team with data requests related to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts,
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly cash flow statements, lender reporting and identifying areas of improvement
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or variances in a timely manner
  • Support the audit and tax filing processes by providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors and the tax team to address any inquiries or findings
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting principles, and regulatory changes, implementing best practices to optimize financial processes
