The Team – Financial Services Business Solution Engineering

Highspring’s Financial Services team helps financial institutions solve complex business problems that cross traditional functional boundaries. We bring together strategy, business architecture, finance and accounting, risk, operations, data, AI, and technology to design and deliver practical business solutions.

Our work spans the front, middle, and back office, from lending origination and servicing platforms to finance and subledger architecture, risk transformation, enterprise data platforms, and AI-enabled operations. We turn complex business problems into executable solutions by connecting people, process, data, technology, governance, and controls.

Your Impact

As a Manager within our Financial Services team, you will lead teams solving complex and often ambiguous challenges for financial services clients. You will take accountability for the problem, solution, team, and outcome, working directly with client leaders to define objectives, establish the approach, lead solution design, and manage execution.

You will bring expertise across financial services and transformation domains while connecting business strategy, operations, finance, technology, data, risk, controls, and implementation considerations. The role requires the ability to move between executive-level strategy and detailed execution and to create structure when the answer or path forward is not predefined.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design of practical business solutions that translate strategic objectives and complex challenges into executable changes across people, process, data, technology, governance, and controls including data products, integration patterns, semantic models, reporting requirements, governance expectations, and implementation plans.
  • Own complex client problems from initial definition through solution design and implementation, establishing the approach and direction with limited senior-level oversight.
  • Lead the design and modernization of financial services platforms spanning areas such as lending origination, underwriting, servicing, payments, deposits, models, and treasury.
  • Design finance architectures spanning operational platforms, subledgers, general ledgers, consolidation, and financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead assessments and solutions for how enterprise data platforms support business processes, reporting, analytics, risk management, AI, and decision-making.
  • Apply an understanding of modern cloud and data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and comparable technologies to broader business solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to redesign processes using AI, enterprise agents, workflow automation, and low-code technologies such as Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Help clients establish OKRs, KPIs, and performance-management frameworks connecting strategic objectives to measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead or support risk transformation across areas such as operational risk, enterprise risk, controls, regulatory change, resilience, and first- and second-line operating models.
  • Lead workstreams within complex transformation programs, including M&A integration, finance transformation, regulatory change, enterprise data, AI, and technology modernization.
  • Evaluate solution alternatives and guide clients through decisions and tradeoffs involving business value, customer experience, complexity, risk, technology, regulatory considerations, and execution.
  • Serve as a day-to-day advisor to client leaders, bringing perspectives and recommendations rather than simply facilitating activities or reporting status.
  • Lead solution-design workshops, executive working sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements sessions, and decision forums.
  • Bridge business and technology teams so that business objectives translate into clear requirements and technology solutions deliver intended business outcomes.
  • Anticipate cross-functional risks, dependencies, and execution challenges and proactively drive them toward resolution.
  • Review and challenge analyses and deliverables to ensure solutions are practical, well-supported, and communicate a clear point of view.
