Strategy-Driven CFO
Thanks to a referral from a mutual, long-standing client in the investment banking arena, a leading middle market private equity firm — that specializes in making control investments in companies based in the consumer, healthcare, and business services industries — approached Highspring to recruit a chief financial officer (CFO) for one of their most promising healthcare companies. They needed to find a proven candidate for the company’s first-ever CFO. The successful candidate would be the one who could quickly develop efficient processes and systems and who could find the right people to ensure rock-solid accounting. The client also needed a CFO who was capable of developing strategic, actionable financial planning and analysis while driving due diligence, compliance, and integration of organic and acquisition-based growth.
Highspring’s experienced private equity and healthcare search teams collaborated to recruit a proven executive for the role. Knowing that growth was one of the primary goals — and that it was the first time the company would have someone sitting in the CFO seat — we actively searched our deep candidate bench and beyond for the person with the right background for the challenging position.. From candidate to client interviews from negotiations to referencing, we served as a steadfast partner to both our private equity client and their growing healthcare company.
