The Challenge
A healthcare real estate organization had brought on a new technology executive to lead its transformation initiatives, but a fragmented data environment stood in the way of executing that vision. The organization’s ERP carried both daily operations and enterprise reporting through one constrained pipeline, limiting its ability to scale reporting without affecting daily operations.
At the same time, its CRM and ERP systems operated separately, preventing teams from tracing leases end to end. With no central source to reconcile data across systems and spreadsheets, trusted metrics were difficult to obtain outside finance, leaving leaders across the business without a reliable, shared view of performance.
The Solution
Highspring partnered with the technology executive to understand the organization’s existing environment and develop a data strategy and road map aligned with its transformation vision. That shared plan established clear priorities and a path forward for the work ahead.
With that strategy in place, Highspring built an enterprise data lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric, using a medallion architecture that refines raw data into progressively cleaner, business-ready layers. The team then ingested ERP, CRM, flat files, and other sources into one governed platform.
The team also established master data for tenants (customers and prospects), buildings, suites, deals, and leases, connecting critical data across the lease life cycle and creating the foundation for a unified view of enterprise metrics that leaders across the business could use and trust.
Our Impact
With a unified data foundation in place, the organization now has governed access to CRM and ERP data across the business, providing an enterprise-wide view of key metrics while reducing reporting demands on the ERP and protecting daily operations. Key outcomes include:
- Connecting two core systems, ERP and CRM.
- Establishing five master data domains across tenants, buildings, suites, deals, and leases.
- Creating one unified data model for enterprise metrics.
This new foundation also positions the business to advance its transformation vision through future budgeting, forecasting, and property manager lease forecasting applications.
