The Challenge
A large healthcare organization faced mounting pressure to modernize its end-user computing environment across a large network of hospitals. With more than 12,000 outdated devices in service, system performance declined, affecting clinicians and patients. Limited internal capacity made it difficult to execute deployments at the scale required.
The looming Windows 10 end-of-support deadline added financial and operational risk to an already strained situation. Under-resourced IT teams struggled to keep pace, and as a result, the organization consistently missed enterprise deployment targets, slowing its broader transformation efforts.
The Solution
Highspring implemented a scalable, execution-focused approach to accelerate deployment and alleviate internal capacity constraints. The team recruited and deployed specialized talent with device deployment expertise across more than 20 hospitals nationwide, ensuring rapid mobilization and consistent execution.
Working closely with the client’s HR and IT teams, Highspring streamlined the onboarding process, enabling new resources to integrate quickly and support deployment efforts. Execution focused on Windows in-place upgrades and the deployment of thin clients, PCs, and workstations on wheels, using standardized processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and minimal disruption to daily hospital operations.
Our Impact
Highspring’s execution helped the organization regain momentum and deliver on its enterprise device modernization goals. The team completed Windows 10 remediation within required timelines, allowing the organization to avoid extended security update costs while meeting leadership objectives for catch-up deployment and its Year 1 refresh.
By deploying resources across more than 20 hospitals and supporting the rollout of over 8,000 devices, Highspring improved system performance and reduced the operational burden on internal IT teams. This created a more reliable, scalable end-user environment that improved the experience for clinicians and patients while supporting ongoing digital initiatives.
